FECAFOOT Normalization Committee Might Bring Back Samuel Eto’o, Others to National Team

Reports are rife that the FECAFOOT normalization committee is negotiating for the return of former players of the indomitable lions of Cameroon such as Samuel Eto’o, Jean Armel Kana Biyick, Andre Onana and Idriss Carlos Kameni to the country’s national team.
Before going to Morocco for a symposium organized by CAF on women's football, Barrister Dieudonné Happi, president of the normalization committee of FECAFOOT stopped over in Paris in France for a consultation meeting with some Cameroonian internationals who had decided not to defend the national colours for one reason or the other.
Recall that shortly before and after the final phase of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, disaster set in and tore the national team of Cameroon apart and many players decided to distance themselves from the national team.

Most of them cited “amateurism” on the part of leaders of the king discipline in Cameroon. Others had been simply banished from the national team.
Mandated by FIFA to bring sanity to the football of Cameroon that has been in the doldrums for well over four years now, the president of the FECAFOOT normalization committee has decided to initiate a reconciliation process with aggrieved former players of the national team of Cameroon.
There are also negotiations with some executive players perhaps to bring them back to the team.
The first meeting of this initiative called “Campaign of reconciliation between some Cameroonian footballers and the national team A”, took place in Paris, the French capital, Monday, March 5, 2018.
Present during the meeting were Barrister Dieudonné Happi and some footballers like Samuel Eto’o Fils, Idriss Carlos Kameni, Allan Nyom, Maxime Choupo-Moting, Jean Armel Kana-Biyick, Stéphane Bahoken and André Onana.
At press time Tuesday, nothing had filtered out as resolutions taken at the end of this meeting.
