A man reported to be the commander of a unit of Ambazonia fighters in Belo area, has been killed alongside some fighters in a standoff between the military and Ambazonia fighters.
According to sources, the bloody confrontation that claimed the life of Terence, took place on Tuesday and lasted for several hours.
During the fierce fighting, Terence whom reports said is widely known in the community and the bother to the proverbial Sam Soya who also lost his life in the ongoing crisis, lost his life, a French language online newspaper (CIN) reported.
According to our source, he was found lying some 100 meters from the Mbingo Baptist hospital.
Even though TCR cannot independently authenticate this, there are reports that the defence forces also killed about half a dozen Ambazonia fighters in Belo during the showdown.
Albeit the paper was not precise about the casualties on the side of the military, it however alleged that there were also casualties within their ranks.
Civilians were also caught in the crossfire as the Fundong Grand Stand and a popular Snack bar, “Jarco Décor”, were set on fire.
While the mutilated body of the second in command at the Fundong Police Post was found on the road early Tuesday, he was abducted a week ago by suspected Ambazonia fighters.
