
Since Minister Paul Atanga Njie made a
claim on the state television that there was no Anglophone problem, anger has
continued to rise in various areas of life within the Anglophone community.
Reactions have also been coming from different elites of the Anglophones. The
Prime, Philemon Yang reacting to the claims of Atanga Njie said it was the
opinion of Atanga Njie and not that of the government. The PM acknowledged that
there was an Anglophone problem and the government was going to see how to
resolve it. He was speaking during the 2 days intensive meeting that he had
with the lawyers and teachers in Ayaba hotel on Saturday and Sunday 26 and 27
November, 2016 respectively. All the efforts of the PM to call on teachers and
lawyers to get back to work turn fruitless. The PM promised to set up a
