Ambazonia fighters Kill Gendarmerie Commander of Nguti in Fresh Battle

newly appointed commander of the Nguti Gendarmerie has been killed by fighters of Anglophone separatist movements.

According to journalducameroun.com that also reported the tragic news, Guy Robert Berlin Lontsi died during fighting between security forces and armed individuals on Tuesday.

The fighting broke out after the armed individuals attacked the Nguti gendarmerie station. We gathered that from 6 to 11am Tuesday March 13, 2018, there was fierce fighting between security forces and the armed individuals.

In the course of the fighting, the newly appointed brigade commander was injured. He succumbed to his wounds in hospital where he was rushed to for medical attention.

Reports have said that a student gendarme was also injured in the process and that security forces succeeded to neutralize three of the attackers and recovered firearms.

The attack on the gendarmerie station of Nguti, is the latest in the spates of attacks perpetrated by secessionist fighters on security and defence forces.

Even though attacks by secessionist fighters appear to be widespread in towns of the two English speaking regions of the country, Batibo in the Northwest region is apparently the new flashpoint of fighting between security forces and Ambazonia fighters.
