Twelve people were arrested on Thursday 01 March in the city of Kyé-Ossi while they were preparing to cross the Cameroonian border to go to Gabon.
They were arrested while carrying mutilated bodies to Gabon.
According to sources close to the story, these individuals transported the mutilated bodies of children, who were reportedly abducted and killed on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. They were placed in the hospital morgue at Ambam.
We also gathered from trusted sources that the alleged killers of the children had been detained at the regional division of the Judicial Police of the South.
The gruesome murder of these children and the mutilation of their bodies reportedly left their children in a state of serious agony according to a French language daily, Le Jour newspaper.
Reports about trafficking in human body parts have been recurrent in Cameroon and there has been a collective call on government to severely punish those arrested for involvement in this illegal business in order to send a warning signal to those intending to join this callous business line.
