There are reports that the military staff of Cameroon has inflicted untold losses on secessionist fighters in a recent battled that took place in Moundogo in Ekondotiti, Southwest region of Cameroon.
According to journalducameroun.com that also reported the story, about 15 secessionist fighters were killed by the army of Cameroon, when they attacked an army post in the Ekondotiti municipality in the Southwest region.
We also learnt that during fighting that stemmed from the attack on Wednesday March 28, 2018, seven sailors of the Cameroon army were wounded.
After fighting that broke out at about 5pm that day, the Cameroon army reportedly recuperated eight hunting weapons and three Kalashnikovs from the fighters of secessionists.
Even though our sources did not say if there were deaths within the ranks of the Cameroon army, there are however indications that several casualties were recorded.
The injured soldiers were reportedly transferred to Buea last Thursday for medical attention. We learnt that they were mostly shot at the arms and knees. Two of them were said to be in critical condition and had undergone blood transfusion on Thursday March 29, 2018.
