Several families are currently in desperate state of destitution after heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms damaged roofs of their houses beyond repairs.
The shocking mishap occurred in a village known as Mvam Yetom, located 20 Km off Ebolowa on the Ambam road in the South region of Cameroon.
According to sources, it rained torrentially that day and that besides the damage done to roofs of houses; other damage was caused by the strong rains.
One of the many victims said that most of the electronic equipment in his home was also destroyed beyond repairs by water that inundated his home after its roofs were swept off.
At press time, TCR had not gotten if the mishap happened during the day or at night, but what was clear is that several persons were seriously affected by the disaster.
Victims have however been making several appeals to people of goodwill to come to their rescue as they continue to grapple with their destitution.
