After several days of fruitless efforts: Witchcraft to be used in search of DO for Batibo

Fons of Batibo have pledged to use sorcery to search for the Kidnapped Divisional Officer for Batibo, Namata Diteng, who was abducted on February 11, 2018 at the Batibo ceremonial grandstand.
They made this declaration Wednesday 14 February 2018 to the Governor of the North West region while he was installing the new D.O, who before then was the assistant senior divisional officer (S.D.O) for Momo division.
During the brief occasion, the worried Governor Adolph Lele L’Afrique held a working session with his collaborators and called for all to put hands on deck in the search of the missing administrative authority.
“The local population under their Fons should rally behind the head of State together with security forces, to find out the whereabouts of the Divisional Officer,” the governor said.
On their part, the Fon of Batibo, Fon Tebu II and his colleague of Guzang, Mbah Nyamsi, told the Governor that “if the missing D.O is still in our land, it will be easy for us to do something traditionally as our fore-fathers did but if he is not, we can’t”.

Honorable Joseph Mbah Ndam, who attended the meeting, said the security forces should be very tactful in the move they are taking so that the D.O should not be harmed.
Since the DO disappeared there have been serious efforts in trying to locate his whereabouts. TCR learn that hundred of security officers have been deployed to forest zones in Batibo both on land and on air but have not been able to locate the DO.  The separatist since the disappearance of the DO have not issued any official statement as to where the DO is being held.
