Cameroon: Government to Finance Agro pastoral Projects of Youths in Troubled Batibo

The government of Cameroon has announced its plans to finance several agro pastoral projects for young people in the Batibo in the North-West region.
This assurance was made by Mbah Acha Rose, Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of the Supreme State Audit.

“I am currently working with MINEPIA (Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries) on how to finance livestock projects for local young people, whether it is raising of chicken or pig breeding. MINEPIA referred me to the regional delegate for the North West who received the youth leaders who brought him files. These files are almost ready. If Batibo did not have the current problem, these projects would have already begun,” said Mbah Acha Rose to the lone state owned bilingual daily, Cameroon Tribune of Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
However, leaders of commercial bike riders in Batibo sought to know from the minister the problem of access to a driver's license. “I noticed that the prefect makes sure that they register and get registered. They told me they do not have a driver's license. I approached some of my friends and we decided to have at our expense 100 driving licenses for the benefit of these "benskineurs", so that they do not follow the wrong direction “, avowed the Minister delegate to the presidency in charge of the Supreme State Control, herself from the North West Region.
“The file is processed by the regional delegate of the Ministry of Transport and as soon as the situation on the ground is normalized, we will go to Batibo to give them these licenses,” she concluded.
