Cameroonian Pastor Wanted for Embezzling Church Funds

The central judicial police have issued a search notice for Pastor Dieunedort Kamdem. The notice was signed on Thursday March 1, 2018.

According to reports, Pastor Kamdem Nounga Dieunedort who was born on March 10, 1977 in Yaoundé is wanted by police for “aggravated fraud” in cooperation with a collection of investors known as “GESEM GROUP-Cameroon”.

 The notice issued by police calls on anyone that comes across the wanted pastor to take him to any nearby police or gendarmerie station or to notify the central judicial police station.

According to sources, on May 30, 2017, the Committee on Financial Markets had found Kamdem Dieunedort guilty of "embezzlement" of funds raised by his church for the public, an initiative of the founder of the church in which he served through the company Gesem Forex Trading, a subsidiary of Gesem Group, based in Ivory Coast.

A newspaper called Journal de Montréal, in an article published in November 2017, announced that Pastor Nouga Kamdem Dieunedort, thus escaped to Canada following the financial scandal involving him.

The newspaper wrote, “A prominent pastor of Cameroonian evangelicalism has found refuge in Quebec to escape the financial scandal in which he is involved in Africa.”

According to another source, “Dieunedort Kamdem admitted half-heartedly that it is this affair, largely reported by the Cameroonian media, that pushed him to settle in Montreal at the end of the summer”.
