Presidential Elections 2018: Akere Muna Storms Troubled English Speaking Region

The leader of the New Movement in Cameroon and presidential aspirant of the 2018 presidential elections Akere Muna, has stormed Mamfe to assess the security situation in the area as a result of the ongoing Anglophone crisis.
According to Muna, his team arrived Mamfe, in Mamfe Central Sub-Division in the early hours of Friday March 9, 2018. They immediately proceeded to visiting His Lordship, Right Rev. Dr. Andrew Nkea, Bishop of Mamfe at his Saint Joseph Cathedral residence.
Barrister Akere Muna also added that they had a brief discussion with the bishop on the tensions emanating from the Anglophone crisis and more on the situation in central Ejagam.
He continued that the man of God took them round and showed them innocent civilians that now live as refugees in their own country.

Akere Muna, also maintained that the man of God explained to him the endeavors of the diocese towards the refugees. The bishop would also present to Muna, the priest of the Kembong Parish who ran away from Kembong and now stays at the Cathedral. He added that 4 parishes in Manyu have been closed down as a result of insecurity.
“We saw only old people and when you hear their stories; there're really sad. Kembong is a town of 6.000 persons with not up to 50 persons in that town,” Muna avowed.
Kembong is Manyu's largest village located in Eyumojock Subdivision and largest in the entire central Ejagham with 16 quarters each headed by Sub-Chiefs.
Akere Muna, who made his tour in Mamfe on a motorbike, said he saw the true situation in Mamfe. He stretched his trip to Buea where he visited the silicon mountain and encouraged young tech entrepreneurs.
