In what has constituted a serious bizarre to residents in Mbanga in the Littoral region and beyond, a lady that died and was buried about 5years ago has allegedly resurrected.
According to reports by reporters of state media CRTV in the Littoral region of Cameroon; 40 year old Marie Djoumo, died in 2013 after she underwent a caesarian section. She was buried in their compound in Mbanga in the Mungo division of the Littoral region.
TCR gathered that after her reappearance in Douala, the lady has since been selling oranges at a popular locality known as Ndokoti in Douala, Cameroon’s economic metropolis.
Reports said that it was the brother of the lady that explained that a Police Officer who saw the lady in Ndokotti and asked if she could make her way to Mbanga and that he would help direct her. That is how Marie Djoumo, found herself back in the same compound she was allegedly buried five years ago.
Her husband and children were totally gob smacked after seeing her but she rather wore a disturbing face perhaps because her family did not welcome her.
But, according to equinox television that also reported the story after visiting the home of the purported resurrected lady, said the story was fake as the husband of the dead woman confirmed that it was a situation of confusion.
The man however told the camera of equinox television that what prompted her to suspect that the lady was her dead wife was the fact that when he saw her and told her that she resembled her wife so much, she kept putting her head to the ground and only smiled.
According to sources, there is no possibility that the lady could be the man’s dead wife given that one of the ladies involved was from Dschang and another from Bangangte.
Even the sister of Marie denied categorically that she (Marie) was the dead woman people claimed.
Meanwhile, another Douala based television station Canal 2, reported that, Marie said the last thing she remembered was that she was put in a morgue some five years ago when she was asked where she had been between 2013 and 2018.
There has been a lot of controversy about the resurrection of the lady but what is certain is that the husband of the lady that died has admitted that the whole thing was a result of confusion, even if Marie very much resembles his wife and has cuts on her stomach like those her wife got from a caesarian section.
Stories about people reappearing in other towns and cities of Cameroon have always been told but more often than not, such stories appear to be fairy tales.
