The inquiry prescribed by the President of the Republic to know the causes and circumstances
of the crash of the military helicopter which occurred on the evening of Sunday 22 January 2017
with four men on board is still in progress. Just as the preparation of funerals for victims.
While waiting for the official program, the relatives of Brigadier General Jacob Kodji, one of the
victims, shared the images of the last moments that the then Commander of the Cameroon Defense Forces
at the front of the war against Boko Haram in the Extreme North Region shared with some of its troops men.
(See photos below)
Promoted to the rank of Brigadier General less than two years ago, when he was already in the front line
of the war against Boko Haram, Jacob Kodji was going to blow on his 57th candle on January 27th.
It leaves the reputation of a highly committed and determined senior in the war against the Islamist sect
of Nigerian origin. In command of Operation "Emergence 4", the illustrious son of Mogobé, a village of the
Far North bordering with Nigeria, succeeded several times in putting in a position to harm the terrorists.
Its disappearance is therefore a great loss within the Cameroonian military forces.
