First Ever Female President for Cameroon National Youth Council after Heated Elections

After two days of a heated electoral process, Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, has finally been elected as president of the National Youth Council of Cameroon.
Delegates from across the country stayed from Saturday, March 31 to Sunday, April 01, 2018 in the nation’s political capital Yaoundé, to elect the new executive board of the National Youth Council of Cameroon (CNJC). According to sources, 48 hours to the election of ten officials of the council, there were lots of issues that tore electors apart during the general assembly of the Cameroon National Youth Council.
According to sources, the most incredible case is that of a candidate named Mengue Olama Elie, torchbearer of the Center Region. During the verification of the conformity of documents of all the candidates aspiring for the office of President, it was discovered that Mengue Olama Elie alone had four dates of birth: 13 March 1979, 13 September 1984, 13 March 1983 and 13 March 1987.
Because of that, the Minister of Youth and Civic Education decided on the evening of Saturday, March 31, 2018, to declare him ineligible.
Ipando Makaya Patrick, delegate of the East Region, Ngen Yves Riyuh, delegate of the North-West Region and Onguene Essama Cyprien Parfait, delegate of the South Region, were also excluded from the electoral contests for reasons of multiple identities.
Curiously, despite blatant evidence of fraud, these contenders for the post of president of the National Youth Council returned to their various homes without being disturbed by police.
Finally, from the three applicants whose applications were validated, Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou from the Adamaoua Region was elected president of the Executive Board of the National Youth Council of Cameroon. Her major contestants, Arouna and Choudi respectively grabbed 17 and 6 votes, while she won by grabbing 20 votes.
The new president inherits a three-year term from Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor, who had been appointed into the Commission for the promotion of bilingualism and multiculturalism.
Fadimatou Iyawa is an IT engineer with certificates both from foreign and universities in Cameroon.
