ameroon has lost one of its highly respected intellectuals. Professor Dominique Mvongo was discovered dead in his home in Yaoundé on Friday March 23, 2018. According to a statement from the communication unit of the Ministry of Higher education, Professor Mvongo was electrocuted.
The body of 73 year old venerated professor was then transferred to the morgue of the Yaoundé central hospital after an autopsy.
The 73 year old professor became pro-chancellor of the University of Bamenda since September 30, 2011 after having served as Secretary General in the Ministry of Higher Education for 7 years.
Before his death, he was head of the department of science of education of ENS.
He was also member of the CPDM central committee and for several years, was also the head of delegation of the central committee to Ngomedzap.
At press time on Tuesday, the funeral program of the deceased had yet to be made known.
