Ex-Minister Jean Pierre Biyiti Bi Essam, has been appointed Cameroon’s ambassador to Israel. He was appointed by a decree of the Head of State of Cameroon, Paul Biya, signed Thursday, May 31, 2018.
According to sources, this appointment marks the start of a new profession for the elite of the South region of Cameroon.
The decree appointing Jean Pierre Biyiti Bi, was read over state media on Thursday May 31, 2018. Before his appointment to this diplomatic portfolio, he had served in two ministerial positions in Cameroon; first as Minister of Communication, and then minister of post and telecommunications.
TCR gathered that since November 22, 2017, the function of head of diplomatic mission in this embassy had been vacant, after the recall of Ernest Claude Nfonguen Ewonkem that was sent to retirement.
Jean Pierre Biyiti Bi Essam is now faced with the task of fostering cooperation ties between Cameroon and Israel.
