The Head of State, H.E.
Paul Biya has awarded 130 medals to some Cameroonian artists who have
stood out within and without the country.
This was during the ceremony to official open the 2016 National Festival of Arts and Culture (FENAC) this 8th November 2016.
Chairing the ceremony, Prime Minister,
Head of Government, Philemon Yang handed over the medals on behalf of
President Paul Biya.
He was visibly impressed with the
display of talent as he visited some dance groups at the exhibition
grounds, the National Museum.

The Minister of Arts and Culture,
Narcisse Mouelle Kombi on his part indicated that culture can contribute
to Cameroon's Gross Domestic Product.
