Anglophone Crisis: Controversy over Capture of Njikwa by Separatist Fighters as SDO Issues Refutation

There is serious controversy over rumours that Njikwa subdivision in Momo division of the Northwest region has fallen into the hands of Anglophone separatist fighters.
According to rumours that widely circulated on social media lately, the said subdivision had been captured by the separatist fighters who were reported to be in purported control of the entire territory.
Propagators of the said rumours also claimed that a letter of the Senior Divisional Officer of Momo division, solicited the strengthening of military personnel and apparatuses in the subdivision; and that some of the military staff deployed to combat the activities of separatist fighters in and around the said hotspot, had fled Njikwa to Oshie because of hunger.
The same letter that was attributed to the Senior Divisional Officer also stated that the fighters were planning to capture Ngie as well.
But, amidst all these rumours that recently flooded social media, the Senior Divisional Officer for Momo, Absolom Monono Wolua, has issued a strong refutation to the allegation that, Njikwa subdivision had been conquered by separatist fighters.

He went ahead to declare in his disclaimer that has been published by an online French publication CIN that, security and defence forces that are in a mission to defend that territory with honour and fidelity, have as a consequence , been regularly receiving necessary logistics to accomplish that mission.
In conclusion to his disclaimer, the Senior Divisional Officer challenges the people of Njikwa to go about their daily activities with utmost serenity.
In recent weeks, Oshie and Ngie, which both border Njikwa, have been flashpoints of firefights between security and defence forces and separatist fighters that have been struggling for the creation of the hypothetical state of Ambazonia.
