Douala: 1 Armed Robber Killed, 5 others seriously injured during Crackdown by Security Operatives

Six thugs were neutralized last Monday, June 14, as they tried to rob a food company in Douala, principal city of the Littoral region of Cameroon.

The incident occurred at a neighbourhood called Bp Cité, in Bassa, Douala. Five of the six thugs were shot, and the sixth was killed. The wounded were admitted in the emergency room of the Bonanjo Military Garrison.

The pictures of the interception of the hoodlums that have been circulated on social media have caused several persons especially locals of Douala and victims of thievery, to salute this diligence and bravery of security operatives.

Douala, is well noted for its high crime wave and has often been described by many as “the land of the good, bad and ugly”.

The saddest of all is that, most of the thugs in the city have often carried out their criminal activities with untold impunity and that justified why security operatives have been awash with praises after the recent interception, a source said.
