The said parents have filed a complaint against a certain Salomon Nna, who took money from them and guaranteed that their children would succeed in some competitive entrance examinations.
A complaint for fraud was filed at the Regional Division of the South Judicial Police (Ebolowa) against a certain Salomon Nna.
According to reports, the permanent secretary to the regional delegation of the central committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) must give an account of the money he collected from parents of candidates of different competitive entrance exams into some professional higher institutes of learning.
Salomon Nna, reportedly collected nearly eight million CFA francs from parents between January and February 2018, promising to be able to cause the admission of their children into the Higher Technical Teacher Training Colleges in Ebolowa, Bertoua and National Polytechnic Yaoundé.
Even though the results of these various competitive entrance exams have not been made known, the parents have considered the whole thing a scam and have decided to initiate proceedings to obtain justice.
According to a French language newspaper Le Jour, Salomon Nna is on the run but police in Ebolowa have nonetheless proceeded to arresting two alleged accomplices of the alleged scam.
