The Minister of External Relations has in a release issued on Saturday, March 31, 2018 announced an inferno that ravaged part of one of Cameroon’s foreign embassies.
According to the release, during the night of Saturday, March 31, 2018, the building housing the Embassy of Cameroon in the Netherlands was partly damaged by a fire.
TCR gathered that a serious fire reduced to ashes, equipment and a part of the building. Fortunately, there was no loss in human life.
While waiting to know the cause of the fire, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations, issued the communiqué below to inform the public.
Communiqué:
“The Minister of External Relations informs national and international public opinion that during the night of Friday 30 to Saturday 31 March 2018, a fire broke out in the building housing the Chancery of the Embassy of Cameroon in Netherlands in The Hague. The prompt and diligent intervention of the Dutch fire-fighters made it possible to define and control the incident. No human loss was recorded although equipment and part of the building were destroyed. The Minister of External Relations reassures that all the arrangements have been made for the regular operation of the Cameroonian Embassy in the Netherlands.
